FAQ
At Slough Talking Newspaper, we've done our best to create a Web site that anticipates and satisfies our listeners’ needs. With that goal in mind, we've compiled a list of frequently asked questions. If you do not find an answer to your question here, contact us at 01753 819 346 or sloughtn@btinternet.com.
Q. What is a Talking Newspaper?
News from the Slough Express & Slough Observer read & recorded each week on to a 90-minute audiocassette. There is also a Magazine tape produced in a similar way once a month, containing interviews, short stories and other items of local and general interest with a section of selected items of particular interest to those people with poor sight.
Q. How is it distributed?
Q. Who is eligible to receive a tape.?
Q How much does it cost?
The service is completely free of charge, but we do ask you to return the tapes to us in the pouches provided each week so that we can use them again. This is simply a matter of taking the label from the front pocket of the yellow pouch (which leaves our address showing) and putting it inside the pouch together with the cassette and posting it back to us - no stamps necessary.
